Thingyan & Songkran

In 2019, I joined the Thingyan festival in Myanmar with my friends, but it was my least enjoyable water festival experience. Fortunately, while working at Ooredoo Myanmar, I had the opportunity to attend the company's party. We sang Thingyan songs and played with water, but I didn’t fully experience the vibrant atmosphere of the festival; I only got a taste of it.  This year, I celebrated the water festival known as Songkran in Thailand with my wonderful brother, Htet Kyaw Aung. We spent all the days of Songkran in crowded areas like Silom, Central World, and Khao San Road. The experience was quite different from what I was accustomed to in Myanmar. Most of the parties in Myanmar are completely free, and they use a large amount of water at each stage. We can often find free traditional snacks along the streets.
